OpenAI-Compatible Clients
Any client that accepts a custom OpenAI base URL, API key, and model ID can usually connect to Sprelay.
| Possible field label | Value |
|---|---|
| Provider Name | Sprelay API |
| API Key / Token | A dedicated Sprelay key |
| Base URL / API Base | https://sprelaytoken.com/v1 |
| Model / Model ID | An exact ID from the live catalog |
Use the example shown beside the client's field to determine the URL depth:
- If the example ends in
api.openai.com/v1, usehttps://sprelaytoken.com/v1. - If it ends in
api.openai.com, usehttps://sprelaytoken.com. - If the field explicitly asks for a Chat Completions endpoint, use
https://sprelaytoken.com/v1/chat/completions.
For the first test, disable web search, knowledge bases, tools, and images. Start a blank chat, select one available chat model, and ask it to reply only OK. Restore advanced features one at a time after that succeeds.
Check whether the third-party client stores keys locally or syncs them to its own servers. Use a low-quota, model-restricted key whenever the storage behavior is uncertain.
